How to play Pocket Bowling

  1. Adjust Aim left / right and Power, then Roll ball. The ball travels along the chosen line; pins in its path and a power-dependent chain behind them may fall.
  2. A frame normally gives two rolls to clear ten pins. A first-roll strike resets the rack for the next frame. A spare clears the rack with the second roll.
  3. Standard ten-pin scoring applies: strikes add the next two rolls, spares add the next roll. Frame ten grants earned bonus rolls. Final score appears when all bonuses are known; the highest completed score saves in this browser.

Pocket Bowling practice guide

Read what remains after the first ball

The first roll aims at a full rack. The second must account for the actual pins still standing. Sending the ball down exactly the same cleared lane can miss a remaining side pin. Use the visible rack to move your line, and remember that lower power reduces the chain of pins that can knock one another down.

A side pin survives the centre shot

Your first roll clears the central group but leaves a pin to the left. Move Aim towards that pin before the second roll. Repeating the centre line may pass through empty space. A spare is valuable because the next roll is added as a bonus, so reading the remaining rack matters beyond the immediate pin count.

A focused practice session

  1. Roll at medium and high power from the same line to compare the chain effect.
  2. After every first roll, identify which pins remain.
  3. Finish a full ten-frame game and inspect how bonus rolls affect the final score.

What to keep in mind

Pin action is a compact deterministic arcade approximation rather than a full three-dimensional simulation. Scorekeeping follows ten-pin bonus rules; a strike’s final contribution may remain pending until later rolls.
