How to play Reaction Challenge
- Press the large pad to begin an attempt. Wait while it says Wait for green; tap only when it changes to TAP NOW.
- An early click is a false start. It does not count as a valid attempt or improve your result. Click again to prepare a fresh attempt.
- After five valid attempts the game shows their average and saves your lowest average in this browser. Leaving the tab cancels the current waiting or green attempt. This is a casual timing game, not a medical or scientific measurement.
Reaction Challenge practice guide
Keep the response simple
Choose a comfortable finger or mouse position before starting. Watch the pad and respond to the colour and text change, rather than counting a fixed rhythm. The waiting delay varies, so guessing can produce a false start. A consistent input method is more useful for comparisons than switching between touch, trackpad and mouse after every result.
A very quick attempt follows a false start
You tap early, then record a fast valid response on the next attempt. The early tap remains a false start and does not enter the five-attempt average. Read the final average alongside the false-start count. One lucky anticipation is less informative than several responses made after the signal.
A focused practice session
- Complete five attempts with the same input device.
- Rest briefly, then repeat without trying to predict the delay.
- Compare whole-test averages and false starts, not only your fastest tap.
What to keep in mind
Display refresh rate, device input delay and browser scheduling affect the result. A lower time on a different device may reflect hardware differences. Hidden-tab attempts are cancelled rather than scored.
