Standard chess rules apply. Tap a piece to see its legal moves highlighted, then tap a destination square to move. Castling, en passant, and pawn promotion are all supported — when a pawn reaches the far row, you'll be asked which piece to promote it to.
Pick "Play with Friend", create a room, and share the code or invite link. Whoever creates the room plays White and moves first; whoever joins plays Black. Moves sync instantly over a direct connection between your two browsers.
Develop your knights and bishops before your queen, and aim to control the four central squares early in the game. Castle within the first ten moves or so to tuck your king away safely and connect your rooks. Before moving, always check whether the move you're considering leaves any of your pieces undefended or exposes your king to a check.
Does this include castling and en passant? Yes — both special moves are fully supported, along with pawn promotion with a choice of piece.
How strong is the computer opponent? It looks two moves ahead — your move and its best reply — using material value, so it won't blunder pieces for free but isn't a grandmaster-level engine.
What happens when a pawn reaches the last row? You'll be prompted to choose which piece to promote it to: queen, rook, bishop, or knight.
