The classic number-merge puzzle, rebuilt with a bold high-contrast colour palette so every tile is instantly recognisable.
Slide tiles with the arrow keys on desktop, or swipe with your finger on mobile. When two tiles carrying the same number touch, they merge into one tile with double the value. Keep merging to reach the 2048 tile — then keep going to see how high you can climb.
Most 2048 clones use the same brown-and-orange tile set. 2048 Bright uses a distinct, saturated colour for every tile value so you can read the board at a glance instead of squinting at similar shades.
Keep your highest tile locked in one corner and avoid moving it away unless you have no other option. Build a chain of decreasing values along one edge so merges cascade predictably instead of scattering across the board. Try to leave one row or column open as a buffer to slide into, rather than filling the grid evenly on all sides.
What's the highest tile possible? You can choose Keep Playing after reaching 2048. Larger tiles remain possible while legal merges and moves are available.
Does the corner strategy really matter? A corner anchor can help organise the board, but random new tiles and your later choices still affect the result. It does not guarantee a win.
Can I undo a move? Not currently — every swipe is final, so it helps to plan a move or two ahead before committing.
Use a corner anchor, understand one-merge-per-move examples, and keep space for the next tile.
